Removing and installing. R
Removing
Version 1:
- Remove the clamping pins from the expanding clips
-2-.
- Remove the expanding clips.
- Lift the lock carrier cover -1-
and pull it off the radiator grille -4-.

Air Intake Grille, Removing and Installing, Audi Q5
Removing
Version 1:
- Remove the air intake grille -2-
from the bumper cover -1-.
Version 2:
- Release the hook -arrow A-
using a screw

When disconnecting and connecting battery, the
procedure must be followed as described in the Repair
Manual.
WARNING
Some tools are supplied with a tool safety clip,
which is slid over the tool points after using the tool,
in order to protect other workers from injuries
1 - Hood
A second technician is needed to support and hold the hood during
removal and installation.
Removing:
Remove the gas-filled strut from the hood. Refer to
→ Chapter "Overview - Gas-Filled Strut".
Remove the nuts -4- from the upper hood
hinge.
Remove the hood.
