Air Intake Grille, Removing and Installing, Audi Q5

Removing

Version 1:

- Remove the air intake grille -2- from the bumper cover -1-.

Version 2:

- Release the hook -arrow A- using a screwdriver -1-.

- Pull the air intake grille -2- out of the bumper cover -arrow B-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

  • Hook Tool -T40207-

Removing

Left Side:

- Pull the air intake grille -1- at the inner side out of the bumper cover using the Hook Tool - T40207--arrow-.

Right Side:

- Grasp the recessed handle -arrow A- and pull the air intake grille -1- at the inner side out of the bumper cover -arrow B-.

Center

- Remove the radiator grille. Refer to → Chapter "Radiator Grille, Removing and Installing, Audi Q5 S-Line and Audi SQ5".

- Release the tabs -4- and retainers -3--arrows-.

- Remove the air intake grille -1- from the bumper cover -2-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Insert the air intake grille in the bumper cover and press on it until the tabs engage completely in the bumper.

Front Bumper Cover End Plate, Removing and Installing

Removing

- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to → Chapter "Noise Insulation, Removing and Installing".

- Remove the bolts -1- and -2-.

- Remove the end plate to the rear.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Front Bumper Cover End Plate

Removing

- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to → Chapter "Noise Insulation, Removing and Installing".

- Remove the bolts -A arrows-.

- Pull the rear end panel -3- down slightly -arrow B- and then pull the front end panel -2- back from the bumper cover -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Rear Bumper Cover End Plate

Removing

- Remove the bolts -A arrows-.

- Pull the rear end plate -2- down slightly -Pfeil B- and remove it from the front end plate -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
