Removing
- Lower the door window.
- Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to → Chapter "Rear Door Trim Panel, Removing and Installing".
- Versions with a sun shade: Remove the sunshade mounts → Chapter "Sun Shade Mount, Removing and Installing".
- Pry the window frame trim -1- out using the Trim Removal Wedge -3409- starting at the front and then all around the window frame guide -arrow A-.
- Remove the window frame trim from the window frame -arrow B- at the same time.
- Remove the window frame trim -1- from the window guide -arrows-.
Installing
- Install the window frame trim -2--arrow- into the window guide -1-.
- Fold the window frame trim -2- over the window guide-1-; the window frame trim must fit into the groove -arrow-.
- Pull the Trim Removal Wedge -3409- the entire length between the window frame trim -1- and the door seal molding -2- and at the same time push the window frame trim toward the door frame and into the groove inside the window guide.
Install in reverse order of removal.
Door Window Sun Shade, Removing and Installing

Removing
- Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to → Chapter "Rear Door Trim Panel, Removing and Installing".
- Carefully release the guide strip -2- using the Trim Removal Wedge -3409- from the door panel -arrow-.
- Pull the sunshade -1- out of the door panel and guide the strap through the guide strip.
- Remove bolts -1 through 6- and -8-.
- Remove the sunshade -7- from the door panel by gently swiveling it toward the outside.
- Guide the sunshade strap through the gap in the door panel and remove it.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- The guide strip can only be inserted in one position in door trim.

Removing
- Remove the screws -1- and remove mount -2- from the window frame.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
