The telephone system consists of the following components:

The Microphone Unit In Front Roof Module -R164- in installed
in the Front Interior Lamp -W1-. Depending on the equipment,
there are up to three microphones installed.

Telephone Baseplate -R126-, Removing and Installing, Cradle
- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and
remove the ignition key.

Removing
Note
The footrest is destroyed during removal and must be
replaced.
- Remove the instrument panel cover on the driver side. Refer
to
→ Chapter "Driver Side Instrument Panel Cover, Removing and
Special tools and workshop equipment
required
Trim Removal Wedge -3409-
Removing
- Unclip the treble speaker trim -1-
using the Trim Removal Wedge -3409- or a screwdriver
-arrow- and remove.
Installing
- Press the trim on until it engages audibly.
